Does Pete’s recent org-management record cause concern that he’s presumably suddenly about to

be in charge of an $800B org seem concerning for nat’l security? How about if you/a family member were to have him

I enjoyed reading your post but have one comment to make about your hope that the coal oil and gas barons will do the right thing and help expedite the transition to more environmentally friendly forms of energy production. One gram of fissile uranium has the energy content equivalent to about 700 gallons of gasoline and 300 tons of coal. One half a pound of uranium could supply all of the energy needs of the average person for a lifetime. Do you really think the fossil fuel industry has any interest in putting themselves out of business “to do the right thing”?! I’m not much for conspiracy theories, but I really think there is an unholy alliance between them and the anti-nuclear folks. Most of the anti-nuclear folks are well meaning, but just woefully misinformed people. Unlike them, the fossil fuel industry has many very well paid experts telling them that they need to hold back nuclear power expansion if they want to keep their profits from collapsing. Sort of like the health experts hired by the tobacco industry that warned them about the dangers of smoking long before that became public knowledge
